Bush and Beyond provides local ground handling services (DMC) for tour operators, planning safari itineraries throughout East Africa; arranging city hotels, safari camps, beach resorts, connecting charter & schedule flights and organising vehicle transfers. Bush and Beyond is able to organise all in country logistics for a safari itinerary and has a dedicated team of eleven who are happy to advise, quote for and book requested itineraries.
Bush and Beyond has an "open book policy" whereby the originating tour operator/agent is given to all third party properties and services upon confirmation of a safari. This ensures that the originating tour operator/agent and third parties relationships are maintained with full transparency.
Schedule Flights
Air Kenya and Safari Link are the Schedule airlines that Bush & Beyond predominantly use. Please click on the links below for flight time tables and their respective baggage policies.
Please note that:
Times can vary - the schedule airlines plan their routes and plane loads the day before and release their manifests and indicative timings the night before.
The ideal routing to follow on a Kenyan itinerary using schedule airlines is a generic anticlockwise movement. There are no schedule flight that operate direct from the Mara to Laikipia and Samburu for example.
Names on the tickets must match names as indicated on the passport
Private Air Charters
We are able to book charters throughout the East African region - please ask your Bush & Beyond sales consultant for a quote where necessary.
Note: It is a legal requirement that Private Air Charters be provided with Names as shown in passports, Nationalities and passport numbers to lodge flight manifests. The Air Charter companies prefer to be given these in advance for smooth planning.
Single Use Plastics Ban
On August 28, 2017, Kenya effected a ban on the use, manufacture and importation of plastic bags with offenders facing hefty penalties for non-compliance. Travelling to Kenya with plastic bags could land you a fine of more than $500 or a jail term of up to a year. In addition to this, as of June the 1st, 2020 - all single use plastics have been banned in all of Kenya's protected areas. Please do not bring any single use plastic items on your safari.
