Overview

Mara Siana is an intimate safari camp set on the outer edge of the Maasai Mara ecosystem, within the newly formed Ripoi Conservancy - a vast, unfenced wilderness shaped by community-led conservation and deep cultural roots. Tucked into the treeline at the base of a gentle hill and overlooking a natural waterhole, the camp offers a front-row seat to daily wildlife movement in a landscape that feels wild, quiet, and refreshingly uncrowded.

Life at Mara Siana is guided by the rhythms of the Mara. Begin the day as the plains come alive with early morning light, spend long hours exploring on game drives or on foot, and return to camp to watch wildlife drift past the waterhole as the day unfolds. Evenings are for sundowners in the open, stories shared around the fire, and falling asleep to the sounds of the bush - a classic safari experience grounded in simplicity, space, and connection to place.

The camp comprises a small collection of safari tents, including family-friendly options, making it ideal for couples, families, and small groups seeking a relaxed yet immersive stay. Days can be tailored to suit each group, with activities ranging from game drives and walking safaris to cultural visits with local Maasai communities, bush breakfasts, sundowners, and special experiences such as hot-air balloon safaris over the Mara.

Mara Siana is proudly Maasai-owned and led by a team whose lives are deeply intertwined with this landscape. Guided by generations of knowledge, storytelling, and stewardship, guests are invited to experience the Mara through the eyes of those who know it best - not just as a wildlife destination, but as a living, working landscape where conservation, culture, and community are inseparable.

If there were one more thing I could do, it would be to go on safari once again.
