Here’s a detailed way around the JKIA airport from specific terminals for your flights, pick up zones and recommended Airport Hotels.
With the re-structuring of JKIA over the last couple of years – the road that used to go the whole way around the ‘Central island’, for lack of a better description, has been blocked off and there are now two designated pick up and drop off points. Previously, you were able to drop/collect outside each individual terminal and park for unlimited periods of time in the car parks in the ‘Central Island’ area and/or drop off points (Unlimited time frames for parking in all zones led to congestion/delays/jams etc.) Since the restructuring, the amount of time a vehicle can spend in these two pick up/drop off points is closely monitored by the authorities and at peak times they may be allowed in these zones for less than three minutes before being moved away. As such the drivers are unable to wait and meet arriving guests with a vehicle, or park and assist guests to the departure terminals.
When meet and assist services are booked for arrival, Bush & Beyond provides the meet & assist provider with the drivers number so that once they have met the clients and are assisting them through the airport – they call the driver and give him a ‘five minute heads up'. This enables the driver to leave the long term parking zones further away from the terminals and slot into the appropriate, short stay pick up/drop zone where they link up with the guests and then continue on with the transfer.
