In June of 2003, Chris Flatt and Trish Luke joined forces to establish Bush and Beyond. With offices in Nairobi and marketing representation in the UK and North America, Bush and Beyond is a vibrant and growing company.

Sean Flatt
After completing a degree in Conservation Ecology at the University of Edinburgh, I managed (together with my wife) a number of camps and lodges in the Mara, Meru and Samburu followed by a two year stint at Offbeat Safaris as the operations manager in Nairobi. Joining Bush & Beyond in 2018 was a natural step and a “home coming” of sorts.. Nine years of varied expereince in the Kenyan tourism industry have given me a well balanced overall perspective of the mid-range to high end tourism industry in Kenya.
Kivara Luke
Tourism was a large part of my childhood and I grew up hosting guests and helping out in our family lodge whenever I could. This was intertwined with my other passion for animals, particularly African wildlife and horses. I completed my veterinary degree at Onderstepoort, University of Pretoria in 2015 and came home to Kenya where I built up a mixed practice clinic in Nanyuki, working with a large majority of our tourism partners. My journey took a new turn in 2023 when I was given the opportunity to join Bush and Beyond and continue a legacy of family, sustainability, conservation and community that I was deeply passionate about. I love the opportunity to share the incredible wild special places with people and embrace the core values that Bush and Beyond represents.
