Throughout her global adventures, Africa always had a tug on Jenny’s heart since her first experience as a travel director in Kenya. Joining the Bush & Beyond family with 20+ years in the travel and hospitality world, her wide range of experiences include Travel Directing, Marketing, Corporate Event Planning, and 14 years as a safari planner. Jenny brings a strong desire to connect people with unique places and broaden their horizons. Based in Denver, Colorado, she loves spending time outdoors and catching the sunset over the mountains.
Christine Gichana
My Tourism Journey began at Kenya Utalii College which immensely contributed to my love for Sustainable Tourism. What amazes more about tourism is the cultural diversity involved, appreciating what mother nature has to offer and aspiring to minimize the negative tourism impacts and maximize the positive ones. With over 7 years in the industry, I have worked with Private Safaris, Gamewatchers Safaris and briefly at Cheli & Peacock in the Product and Database department. Now at Bush & Beyond, I am grateful to be part of this amazing team.
Lillian Were
My first job in a Web-development company introduced me to the world of Travel. I would spend months on end writing code, editing pictures and creating marketing materials for wild, boutique and breathtaking destinations that I had never imagined existed, right here in Kenya! After successfully delivering a project that had stalled for some period of time, an overly grateful client gifted me my very first safari experience - in the Mara! This experience brought me to a whole new world of tours and travel and it has been incredibly amazing that I major my IT skills in this Industry and most specifically to work with a giant in the trade like Bush & Beyond, a great honor.
Anne Mwenda
Anne was born in Meru - the slopes of the Snow-capped Mt. Kenya, home to the big five and the hub for bird watching. Her passion for the marvels of nature is in her genes. Being a graduate of the renowned Kenya Utalii College, her dream of working in the Tourism industry cannot be gainsaid. She has over 23 years' impeccable experience working in Luxury Tourism Companies including Bush & Beyond, Kicheche Camps, Rhino Safaris, Nature Expeditions, Eastern and Southern Safaris. Anne has a knack for Hot Air Balloon flights and great Cuisine. She loves cooking, holiday getaways and brisk walking.
Olivia Mills
My career at Bush and Beyond (Bush Homes, as it was then) started with a temporary admin position. Subsequently, as the company developed, I began working in international sales, predominantly handling enquiries from the UK market. My childhood was spent on a farm in Kitale in Western Kenya, where my parents had their own safari business. I was privileged to spend school holidays going on many safaris, and helping out behind the scenes. Life from Bush and Beyond then took a different path as I had an amazing opportunity to work for Singita with my husband, opening and managing Faru Faru in Tanzania. The following few years were spent dipping in and out of hospitality work, plus the addition of two children. I am now based in Wiltshire UK, fortunate to be able to work ‘remotely’ for Bush and Beyond. Kenya is still very much home, and I return as often as I can with my family.
