Conservation
Tangulia Camp sits on 1,000 acres of private land bordering the Masai Mara. Patrols make sure that there is no charcoal burning and are on a look out for poachers. There is an actively open wildlife corridor between the Mara and the Tangulia conservation area.
80% of the staff at Tangulia are from the Masai community directly benefiting those Masai families. The community also directly benefit from the beadwork projects. Jackson is a Trustee of the MAA Trust which is an independent non-profit organisation that works towards ensuring the success of conservation through sustainable community development in the Maasai Mara ecosystem.
Tangulia actively helps the Mararianta Village School and encourages guests to visit the school most who end up donating to the various projects that are running. Tangulia have, to date, helped build a modern kitchen for the school as well as supporting the children in learning to swim.
